Online estate agents could account for up to 50% of the market by 2020, according to Urban.co.uk.

Since its foundation in 2005 Urban.co.uk has brokered over £97.5m worth of deals.

Adam Male, Founder of Urban.co.uk, thought the public would eventually be drawn to online house-hunting.

He said: “The online format negates the need for expensive fees, whilst still offering customers as much expert knowledge and advice as required.”

"We are extremely proud of the Urban brand and believe that our site will continue to develop and evolve, leading the industry over the next decade.”

Urban.co.uk allows home-sellers to create an account and upload images and information of the house they are trying to sell.

The online Estate agents then aims to send a surveyor to assess the house within 1-3 working days.

Once the surveying and valuation processes have been completed Urban.co.uk will advertise the house on websites such as Rightmove.co.uk, Zoopla and primelocation.

Adam added: “We are extremely proud of the Urban brand and believe that our site will continue to develop and evolve, leading the industry over the next decade.”

“Everyone within our team is highly qualified, with credentials recognised by the National Association of Estate Agents, and happy to help with negotiating the best price for your property."
