Propertymark reveals new presidents



Professional and regulatory body Propertymark has welcomed two new presidents to its associations.


Sally Lawson has been appointed president of ARLA (Association of Residential Letting Agents) Propertymark, while Katie Griffin has become the president of NAEA (National Association of Estate Agents) Propertymark.

Sally – who succeeds Nik Madan – has 27 years of experience in the lettings industry and is CEO and founder of the National Lettings Franchise.

David Cox, chief executive of ARLA Propertymark, said: “I am pleased to welcome Sally to the role – she’s a highly experienced individual and is extremely committed to the industry, we are excited to have her on board.”

Katie – who succeeds David Mackie – is a RICS chartered surveyor and has run her own agency Sawdye & Harris for more than 20 years.

Mark Hayward, chief executive of NAEA Propertymark, added: “Katie is an active member and is committed to raising standards within the industry, sharing best practice and nurturing future talent. 

“I look forward to working with her more closely to drive awareness of our new consumer-facing focus as NAEA Propertymark.”

Meanwhile, Peter Savage has been appointed ARLA’s president-elect, while Michelle Niziol has been elected vice-president. 

Mark Bentley has become NAEA’s president-elect with Lauren Scott elected as vice-president.
