CBRE appoints affordable housing consultant

CBRE has appointed Keith Exford as a consultant for affordable housing and housing associations.

Keith is joining CBRE from Clarion Housing Group, where he was chief executive.

He was instrumental in leading Affinity Sutton into its merger with Circle Housing in 2016 to form Clarion Housing Group.

Prior to his role at Clarion, Keith held chief executive roles at both Broomleigh and Wandle housing associations.

In his new role with CBRE, Keith will be working closely with CBRE’s planning, development, residential, capital advisers and valuations businesses to form a full-service housing association advisory business.

He will be responsible for developing and leading the strategy, growing the team and building on and strengthening CBRE’s client relationships within the sector.

Stephen Hubbard, chairman at CBRE UK, said that it was delighted that Keith would be bringing his wealth of experience in the affordable housing sector to CBRE.

“The UK’s largest housing associations have become genuine rivals to the UK’s most dominant housebuilders and developers in terms of land acquisitions and volume of delivery.

“This provides an exciting opportunity for our advisory business and Keith will be an invaluable asset as we look to grow in this sector, enhancing our capability to better serve our clients.”
