Southwark Planning Committee has given unanimous approval for the development which will launch under Scape’s living brand, Morro.
The project will feature 135 co-living rooms with amenities including a co-working cafe and landscaped areas.
The scheme is designed by Stephen Marshall Architects and located on Printworks Street, to connect with the broader Canada Water Masterplan.
In collaboration with British Land and Southwark Council, this masterplan aims to create a new town centre in Southwark.
Over the next 12 years, this will impact 53 acres with up to 3,000 new net-zero carbon homes and 2 million sq ft of workspace for 20,000 workers.

“This approval marks a significant step forward in our mission to provide high-quality living spaces that contribute positively to the local community,” said Tom Ward, founder and CEO of Scape.
“The Canada Water co-living development will not only bring to Southwark modern, sustainable housing, but will also support local businesses and create vibrant communal spaces.
“By connecting with the broader Canada Water Masterplan, this project will play a pivotal role in the area’s regeneration, promoting economic growth and enhancing the quality of life for all residents.”
