The council went to tender in early 2023 to find a contractor to deliver the £60m project that will see the transformation of circa 10 acres of brownfield land off Robert Hall Street and West Park Street.
Countryside Partnerships (part of Vistry Group) has been selected to deliver the project upon full planning approval.

The scheme will see the delivery of 137 homes and 137 apartments, 40% of which will be affordable and managed by Derive, the council’s local housing company.
Joe Turner, MD at Vistry Manchester and Cheshire East, said: “We are delighted to deliver this new development for Salford Council.
“It will provide a significant number of affordable homes, whilst bringing a previously redundant brownfield site back into beneficial use, which is exactly what we seek to achieve as an organisation.”
