Pluto funds housing association low carbon development

Pluto Finance has provided funding to an East London housing association for the development of 91 low carbon affordable homes.

The development in Barking & Dagenham will involve a 2,400 square metre brownfield site being transformed into one, two and three-bedroom apartments.

This site will include car parking facilities and children’s play areas.

These homes will be designed with air source heat pumps and prefabricated building systems to minimise the properties’ carbon footprint.

Pluto provided funding for the housing association on competitive terms with support from law firm Burges Salmon.

Mario Ioannides, associate partner at Pluto Finance, commented: “This is the second time we have worked with this housing association to fund a residential scheme that is providing much needed, high quality social housing.”

“They have demonstrated a strong track record in similar projects and Pluto Finance proudly continues to support the delivery and expansion of affordable homes nationwide.”
