Development lender Regentsmead has exclusively revealed to B&C that it has partnered up with the National Federation of Builders in order to find new ways to reach developers who are in need of funding.

The National Federation of Builders (NFB), is the construction industry’s longest established trade association representing England and Wales-based firms involved in the building and construction industry.

Not only has Regentsmead partnered up with the body to reach more developers in need of funding, but it will also be offering advice to builders at regional events, as well as offering NFB members the access to an exclusive substantial discount offering on initial survey fees.

Commenting on the partnership, Richard Beresford, Chief Executive of the NFB, said: “The NFB is delighted to partner with Regentsmead to address the need for investment in SME construction companies and looks forward to sharing the success that this connection will cultivate.”

According to a recent Regentsmead poll, some 78 per cent of developers who were interviewed indicated that they were concerned about access to quick and flexible finance for projects.

In order to sort out this issue, Regentsmead agreed to the partnership with the NFB, which has roughly 1000 members, ranging from sole traders to builders and contractors.

The company sizes of members range from those turning over under £500,000, to larger organisations which turnover in excess of £500 million.

Regentsmead has founded thousands of new builds, conversions and refurbishments over recent decades and and prides itself on its levels of service and quick turnaround time.

The new relationship was partly sparked by the team’s desire to find new ways to reach developers in desperate need for funding.

James Bloom, Chief Executive of Regentsmead said: “We are thrilled to be teaming up with the NFB and hopefully plenty of their members will take full advantage of the Regentsmead offering. They have a superb reputation and it’s great to ally ourselves with a long established and well respected organisation. This hopefully forms another step in our drive to ‘Get Britain Building’.”

James added: “We have listened to a lot of our existing clients and the developer community is still reeling from a lack of mainstream funding sources. I have no doubt Regentsmead can plug the gap here for SME builders and developers and continue to help educate the community”.
