£15m estate with barn made from historic ship up for sale

A 10-bedroom estate in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, which has been put up for sale features a barn made from the timber of the historic ship the Mayflower.

The Grade II-listed property is an 18th-century manor house redeveloped in a modern style and located in the private village of Jordans, a half-an-hour drive from London.

The estate was previously owned by the Quaker Trust for 400 years and is adjacent to The Quaker Meeting House, the resting place of philosopher and founder of the Province of Pennsylvania, USA, William Penn.

During the time of Oliver Cromwell, the property served as a hiding place for Quakers.

The estate has a secondary house and a guest cottage.

The buildings are surrounded by six acres of landscaped grounds, including a natural swimming pond and Japanese inspired gardens.
