EcoWorld Ballymore

Research project launched to explore impact of green urban living on wellbeing

EcoWorld Ballymore has partnered with biofit Health and Fitness to launch a green urban living research project at its flagship Wardian development in Canary Wharf.

The London property developer will be conducting a survey in the nature-influenced, pop-up space the Wardian Case.

The survey has been created by a team of scientists from the University of Essex, including Dr Mike Rogerson and Professor Jules Pretty.

The scientists will assess the benefits of exposure to the Wardian Case during each visit, observing mood, concentration and stress levels upon arrival and departure.

Guests will be able to reserve an hour (or more) inside the space – which includes air purifying plants – or participate in creative brainstorming sessions held from Monday 22nd January to Friday 2nd February 2018 between 10am-6pm.

The space has been influenced by the Wardian glass case created by Dr Nathaniel Bagshaw Ward in the 19th century and is designed to make visitors feel rejuvenated, calm and upbeat.

Each apartment at the Wardian development comes with a garden terrace measuring up to 32.7 sq m, while a bespoke landscaping service is also available.

The development is located close to Cabot Square and the proposed Crossrail station due to be completed later this year.
