Helical agrees new lettings for London office scheme

Property developer Helical PLC has agreed two new lettings totalling 54,315 sq ft at its office scheme at One Creechurch Place, London.

Computer technology provider Dell Corporations has acquired 22,357 sq ft across all the first floor and part of the second on a 10-year lease, while global insurance group Enstar has agreed terms for two floors totalling 31,958 sq ft, also for a 10-year period.

These latest lettings follow on from late 2017 when the international insurance intermediary Hyperion took the top six floors (115,910 sq ft, 15-year lease), while American insurance company Travelers agreed terms for the third floor (15,969 sq ft, 10-year lease).

With 69% of the building under occupation and a further 5% under offer, the property now only has four and a half floors of its 17 storeys available to let.

Gerald Kaye, CEO of Helical, said: “Securing these latest lettings is a fantastic achievement by all involved and demonstrates that – despite some initial impact following the EU referendum and ongoing Brexit negotiations – for the best-located and highest-quality office developments, the draw of London to global occupiers remains strong.

“Our vision at One Creechurch Place was to develop a sophisticated working environment that allows leading businesses to flourish.

“Situated adjacent to the new public realm and green spaces of Mitre Square and Aldgate Square, we are optimistic about letting the remaining space during 2018.”
