DM Hall appoints head of planning



Chartered surveyors DM Hall has appointed Paul Houghton (pictured above) as its new director and head of planning.


Paul – who is a chartered town planner and a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute – has extensive professional experience and will be based in the firm’s Bridge of Allan office in Scotland.

He has 26 years of experience in a wide range of planning disciplines within both the public and private sectors and held senior roles in town and country planning in Scotland for 17 years.

Prior to joining DM Hall, Paul was in charge of his own planning consultancy Houghton Planning Ltd having previously worked for two planning consultancies in Glasgow.

Paul said: “I am very pleased to have been appointed as head of planning at DM Hall and look forward greatly to assisting our clients – old and new – to understand, address and resolve the planning issues which might stand in the way of achieving their commercial objectives.”
