Urban&Civic exchanges contracts on 785-acre site in Buckinghamshire

Developer Urban&Civic PLC has exchanged contracts with Claydon Estate LLP on 785 acres of greenfield land on the Claydon Estate near Calvert in Aylesbury Vale, Buckinghamshire.

The company believes that the site has the potential for a significant residential development.

The site connects to the new High Speed 2 (HS2) railway depot where the HS2 line will meet the proposed Varsity rail line, which sits within the Cambridge-Milton Keynes-Oxford corridor, a priority area identified by the National Infrastructure Commission (NIC) for new housing delivery.

As part of Theresa May's speech on housing last week, the NIC’s recommendations for preparing plans or determining applications were endorsed.

Last month, Urban&Civic announced it had secured outline planning permission for the first phase of a 6.4-acre development in Wolverhampton.
