DFT Roundtable: everything you need to know about mezzanine, JV and equity funding

Development Finance Today has launched its first ever filmed Roundtable session, which discusses the funding benefits of mezzanine finance, joint ventures (JV) and equity to developers and investors.

The event – which took place on 24th April at Howard Kennedy's offices and was chaired by DFT editor Beth Fisher – was supported by United Trust Bank and Iron Bridge Finance.

Noel Meredith, executive director at United Trust Bank, and Martin Gilsenan, director of sales at Iron Bridge Finance, demystified the products’ misconceptions and discussed the opportunities and benefits that mezzanine, JVs and equity could offer developers from a lender’s perspective.

Developers and brokers were also in attendance to discuss their attitudes and experiences to these types of products in the current market, including James Thomlinson, co-founder of Voltaire Financial, Mark Dyason, managing director at Thistle Finance, James Tregoning, director at London Green, and Damien Jourquin, CEO at P2P Residential.

Daniel Fireman, partner: head of real estate finance, and Steve Clinning, partner: head of banking and asset finance – both at Howard Kennedy – also gave a legal point of view.

The video can be viewed in full on the DFT Roundtables page.
