£51m build contract agreed for London retirement village

Audley Group and JV partner Apache Capital have agreed a £51m build contract for a London retirement village.

They have instructed McLaren to manage construction on the project at Nightingale Place in Clapham.

The 13,750m2 development has a GDV of around £125m and is due to be completed by 2020.

It will comprise 94 one- to three-bedroom apartments, including penthouses.

Kevin Shaw, managing director at Audley Group, said: “The development of our first Audley Village in London requires some of the best partners, and McLaren is the right choice to help take this forward.

“We know that an impeccable build standard is as important to them as it is to us and we look forward to working with them on what is a significant milestone for Audley.”

David Miller, regional managing director for London at McLaren, added: “It’s a great pleasure to work with Audley and Apache to deliver the first Audley Village in London.

“We bring our extensive experience in the residential and leisure sector to this complex build, as well as the best in high-quality finishes.

“It is great to be part of the team delivering exceptional homes at Nightingale Place.”
