Mert joins Puma — which completed £200m in loans last year — from Octopus Real Estate, where he was an investment manager in the commercial team.
In his new role, Mert will work across the business, which focuses on delivering development and bridging loans from £5m–35m.

Mert previously served at RBS for almost eight years — latterly as a relationship director — where he originally specialised in distressed debt, before becoming an originator in the real estate finance private equity team.
