£105m development approved by virtual planning committee

Eutopia Homes has had a £105m mixed-tenure development approved by Salford City Council’s first virtual planning committee.


Two brownfield sites overlooking the River Irwell are set to be transformed into 500 apartments.

Half of the homes will be for sale and the other 250 will be for private rent.

The developer acquired the sites in December 2019 with funding from Chenavari Investment Managers.

The homes will be spread over two E-shaped blocks and range from one- to three-bedroom units in size.

The rental apartments have been designed specifically for rent and tenants will benefit from on-site professional management.

Eutopia Homes’ Salford project will have access to a mix of indoor and outdoor communal areas for residents to relax in.

Future residents will benefit from on-site provision of secure parking, with 142 car, 24 motorcycle, and 544 bike spaces provided.
An £850,000 contribution will be made to improve the bus service to Manchester City Centre.

“Our plans will open up the riverside through new pathways and green spaces, while also providing much needed housing that can cater to a broad range of demographics, thanks to the range in apartment sizes and mix of tenures.”
