The Studios24 completes £12.5m co-living scheme in Wolverhampton

The Studios24 has delivered a £12.5m co-living development in Wolverhampton town centre.

Finishing touches have been applied to the transformation of a dilapidated 12-storey office building into accommodation for more than 200 people.

Residents have been welcomed since late 2018, with more homes provided as each phase completed.

The final stage — consisting of 17 top-floor penthouse en-suite studios, with upgraded in-built furniture, innovative storage solutions and views across the city — is now available for new residents.

As a part of the co-living experience, there are shared kitchens, laundry rooms, working and relaxation areas, and a café and bar.

A gym and fitness studio will be opened soon, and a 16-seat cinema is being fitted out.

Barry Glantz, managing director at The Studios24, said he believes there is growing demand for co-living developments outside London.

“We took a leap of faith and were the first to develop co-living accommodation in the Midlands, so it’s really great to see the place constantly buzzing with activity, with residents enjoying their studios and the rest of the facilities,” said Barry.

“Local people and businesses have really embraced co-living, largely because it offers a great lifestyle at a very affordable price.”

He noted that there was a strong demographic mix among the residents at The Studios24, with only 10 students who are post-graduates, and the rest working in sectors such as healthcare, construction, education, human resources, and technology.
