Urban Village Healthcare reveals executive team

Urban Village Healthcare, part of Urban Village Group, has put together an executive team to lead its launch into the healthcare sector.

The team is comprised of several senior members working for the group, including COO Rose Bracher, CFO Martin Cooper and executive director Adam Faulkner.

Urban Village Healthcare is rolling out a major multi-million-pound nursing home delivery plan and already has multiple sites in various stages of development.

It aims to develp a broad portfolio of care homes and extra care schemes across the UK— in partnership with medium-sized providers with strong reputations and a local focus—which is expected to create around 80 new jobs per scheme in each location.

Currently, the company is working on a 70-bed care home in Telford, Shropshire, for which it recently received planning consent from Telford and Wrekin Council.

Once complete, the scheme will be managed by Bracebridge Care Group.

The company also has planning consent for an £8.5m facility in Wigan, Greater Manchester, featuring 66 en-suite rooms and communal facilities including lounges, a beauty salon, and guest rooms for relatives.

Nick Sellman, chief executive at Urban Village Group, said: “These are exciting times for everyone involved in Urban Village Healthcare.

“With Rose, Martin and Adam on board, we are in a very strong position to rapidly grow the business by delivering high quality care schemes in key locations, providing new facilities for the elderly and disabled, and creating much needed new jobs for local people.

“Our care homes have been carefully designed to ensure those who live there can enjoy an excellent quality of life and be part of an incredible community.

“Our designers will focus on the wellbeing of residents by addressing specific age-related impairments that impact on mobility, sight, hearing and memory — all elements and issues which will be incorporated into the initial design planning.

“We are committed to making a positive social impact through our healthcare investment activities, while remaining focused upon integrating ESG factors within our long-term strategic growth plan.”

Rose added: “I am excited to be in a new role which provides the opportunity to be part of a strong platform which will build the foundations of a well-structured care offering from the ground up.

“This opportunity gives me the ability to build upon the extensive experience I have gained during my many years within the care sector to provide an excellent care offering for the residents of Bracebridge Care Group.”
