CrowdProperty appoints new CTO

CrowdProperty has appointed Ian McManus as chief technology officer.

Ian has over 20 years of experience in delivering disruptive technical projects through all stages of software platform delivery in both the US and the UK.

Throughout his career, he has held numerous senior roles in technology businesses, including group CTO at Dining Alliance, co-founder and CTO of FreshRealm, chief consultant at InBlag Consulting and CTO at Lateral Technology.

Commenting on his appointment, Ian said: “It’s great to see the recognition CrowdProperty has already received for its proptech credentials, and I look forward to continuing to drive forward this award-winning tech strategy.

“The business is growing at a phenomenal rate, due in part to the digital processes and systems that are in place, which enable key business efficiencies.

“The focus on continuous improvement of the customer experience on both sides of the market through a tech-enabled, analytics- and expertise-driven approach is to be expected from disruptive businesses with innovative cultures, like CrowdProperty, and I very much look forward to collaborating with the team on this.”

Michael Bristow, CEO at CrowdProperty, added: “Ian is a strategic technology evangelist with a history of driving innovation, delivering technical excellence and bringing compelling, intuitive experiences to the user — values which align with the existing customer-centric proptech approach that contributes to CrowdProperty’s market-leading status.

“While the property expertise at the heart of the business is core to our offering, we’re increasingly being recognised for the innovative technology solutions that we bring to property project funding.

“In the last 18 months, we’ve won Overall Residential Real Estate Lender of the Year at the PropTech Breakthrough Awards, ranked 11th in the PropTech 50, and been named as the highest-growth technology business in the Midlands region in the Deloitte UK Technology Fast 50.

“The experience Ian brings in mentoring, coaching and motivating technical teams to successfully deliver products which make a real-world difference is very exciting, both in terms of process efficiency and customer experience improvements which we are planning to continuously advance our services.”
