Imperial Blue has expanded its team following a successful three month internship program.

Around 10 current students and graduates were chosen from a long list of applicants to join the finance house with some doing the whole period and others just a week or two.

Harry Cloke and Henry Wilson-Holt have been welcomed to the team as Analysts and loan originators. Additionally, qualified Architect Ed Sharples has recently joined the firm as Investment Manager and will monitor all future Imperial Blue investments.

Tom Harries, who founded Imperial Blue Finance with his brother James, revealed that they targeted people who wanted to avoid the treadmill of the City and instead join a young, dynamic, entrepreneurial team.

“We have found two very bright, driven guys who will help us grow not only in the property sector but as we expand into others as well in the future,” he said.

“Similarly, with the recent launch of Imperial Blue Capital, a fund that provides equity to developers, the addition of Ed will be invaluable in ensuring developers can build what they say they can, in the time they state they can!”

Imperial Blue Finance provides debt and equity to property developers and sister company Imperial Blue Capital was added to mitigate the risk of developers having to rely on the likes of high net worth investors or slow foreign investment groups. The types of finance available include bridging finance, mezzanine finance, senior and stretched senior facilities.

Imperial Blue can, therefore, provide a complete financing solution to property developers throughout the UK in regards to residential and commercial projects.
