Rock star's former home up for rent

The former home of a 70s punk rock band member is now available to rent.

According to property platform Zoopla, the Sex Pistols frontman Johnny Rotten bought the property in Chelsea in 1978 before selling it in 1981 when he moved to New York.

The three-bedroom split-level maisonette on Gunter Grove costs £5,612 per month to rent.

It also has two bathrooms, a private roof terrace offering panoramic views, while the reception room contains a fish tank, dining area and a contemporary kitchen.

Other big names who have lived in the area include The Rolling Stones, Bob Marley and Eric Clapton, according to Zoopla.

Later in the year a mansion block which contained the former home of Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Wattts under went refurbishment in Marylebone.

The property is currently on the market via Breteuil, Foxtons and Marsh & Parsons.
