The development – known as the Living for Retirement scheme – will form an important element of the forthcoming £500m, 28-hectare Edinburgh Marina redevelopment.
The scheme – which is designed to provide over 55s with the means to living an active, fulfilling retirement – will be a first for Edinburgh and Scotland.
The development will comprise 104 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, with a wide range of amenities specifically tailored for the over 55s.
It will include dedicated guest accommodation, 24-hour concierge service, secure private storage spaces and car parking (all with provision for electric power) available for every apartment.

Residents will have full access to the new Health & Wellness Centre, which includes steam and sauna rooms, a private cinema, bistro lounge, library and a fully equipped laundry room.
