Commenting on his appointment, Barney said he was thrilled to join Blend at “such an exciting time for the company”.
“After doubling its business during the pandemic last year, the company has now established itself as trustworthy and innovative lender among property developers and the broker community.
“I look forward to playing a strong role in the continued expansion of its lending activity.”
Yann Murciano, CEO at Blend Network, added: “Keeping up with Blend Network’s strong tradition of hiring underwriters who speak property developers’ language, Barney brings extensive experience and knowledge in development finance lending, which will significantly help us originate new business.
“His appointment will help accelerate our development finance lending capabilities and enhance our capacity to service both existing and new borrowers on the platform.”
