DFT and Acre Lane to host virtual roundtable on development exit finance

Development Finance Today will be hosting its next virtual roundtable, in partnership with Acre Lane, on Tuesday, 1st June at 11:00am.

The event, which is part of a weekly series launched this year, will focus on the development exit finance market and will be moderated by Medianett’s managing director, Caron Schreuder.

Acre Lane’s CEO Ian Wilson and managing director and head of risk Chris Pidgen will be joined by Adrian Carey, senior associate at PIA Financial Group; George Eleftheriou, managing director at Real Finance; Kevin Gillham at City Finance Brokers; and James Lennon, founding director at Tapton Capital.

The panel will discuss the rise in the requirement for development exit finance, the advantages the product offers developers and at what stage should borrowers consider this type of finance, given the current construction, labour and sales environment.

They’ll also weigh in on what a developer should reasonably expect from their finance team for the best chance at a successful scheme.

Registration is open and is free to attend for all professionals working in the sector.

The panel will be taking questions during the session and attendees are encouraged to get involved.

The event will also be available to watch after 1st June on DFT.

Commenting ahead of the event, George said: "Covid-19 has been one of the key contributory factors in causing delays to the completion of many development schemes over the last year.

"As a result this has increased the importance of development exit as a vital tool in their funding armoury."
